BE SAFE! Our boys and girls will be learning about the 9 Character Traits throughout the school year. We have been discussing, practicing, and learning about the first trait, BE SAFE. The students have heard all about ways to BE SAFE around school, inside, outside, and on the bus. Please reinforce this character trait at home, and have discussions with your child about what it means to BE SAFE at school. We appreciate your support. OPEN HOUSE Open House is this Tuesday, Sept. 19, 6:00-7:30PM. Please come and join us for an informative evening, meet your child's teacher, and walk through the school. Please pay special attention to PARKING, and follow the directions of the personnel outside directing traffic. If at all possible, and if you live within walking distance of school, it will be a beautiful night to consider walking to this event, to help alleviate some of the parking congestion. Some friendly Parent/Family Reminders: Please send your child in CLOSED TOE shoes in order to climb on the outside equipment safely! If your child wears flip flops or sandals they will be restricted on which equipment they can play on outside. Dismissal Doors for students either walking or getting picked up are as follows: Kindergarten: Door #3 (south end of building) First/Second: Door #2 (east end of building) Third/Fourth: Door #11 (west end of building, near parking lot) Here is the 2017-18 District Calendar : Our Birthday Treat Policy  remains the same as last year. Please send non-food goodies (pencils, stickers, etc) for your child to hand out for their birthday treat. Please do not send in food items. We will celebrate your child's birthday during morning announcements, and they may celebrate with their classmates, however please only send goodies which can be taken home. We will also continue to ban Fidget Spinners at school, and in fact all TOYS should stay
