School Closed Today  Due to the mandatory boil water advisory issued by the city of Livonia,   all schools in the district will be closed today. Rosedale Rissos are Reading Under  the Big Top! March is Reading Month and Rosedale will be celebrating with a bang! Information will be sent home via backpacks on Monday. Our staff has planned several special events to help celebrate and promote READING. Start reading and start earning prizes! Box Tops Collection This is the LAST CHANCE to send in Box Tops! This is such an easy fundraiser for our school.  We appreciate all the participation  so far! Please send in ALL Box Tops by Monday, Feb. 26 ! There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, Feb. 19 to celebrate Presidents Day! Tuesday, Feb. 20 is our next BANKING DAY If your child has an account with Community Financial,  Tuesday is our  next banking day.  Your child may bring in a deposit, if they have one. If you are interested in opening an account for your child, representatives will be on hand to help you with that, as well. Your child may request that information to bring home, or you may stop by a Community Financial branch. Each SAVER will get a free ruler on Tuesday! iReady Strive for 45! If your child has access to an iReady Reading or Math Instructional License, in order for this to make a difference,  it is critical that they work on this at home,  on a REGULAR BASIS! We want our students working for 45 minutes a week, but that's not as easy as it sounds.  The 45 minutes need to be on INSTRUCTION, not games or quizzes. Any time you can work at home, only helps your child meet his/her learning goal

Please make sure to read your child's Teacher's communication regarding Valentine's Day plans for Wednesday, Feb. 14! VIP Dance Rocks! Thank you to our PTA and our volunteers for planning and setting up such a  great event  on Thursday night!  Families enjoyed a tasty spaghetti dinner, dessert, photo booth, awesome decorations, and DANCING! It's always a treat to see our families having such a great time. If you stopped by and had your photo taken by our photographer, your memorable photo will be printed and sent home with your student, as a special keepsake. VIP Dinner and Dance The PTA is sponsoring our VIP Dinner and Dance this coming THURSDAY, FEB. 8, 6-8pm! New this year: ALL STUDENTS, BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS, are invited! Registration is required, as we need an accurate count for food. Come enjoy dinner, social interaction, and dancing! Each family is allowed one adult (the VIP) to accompany the students, to make sure we have enough space for all families!
