Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!
The Rissos had a great first week, and
look forward to an awesome year.
Make sure to review all information sent
home in the First Day Packets, and to
return both copies of the PINK emergency cards,
corrected if necessary, and signed.

Community with Character
BE SAFE
The Livonia Public Schools promote
A Community With Character in every LPS building.
Here at Rosedale, we add a ninth trait, BE SAFE!
This September we will focus on safety throughout the building,
outside for recess, and arrival and dismissal procedures.
Each Monday, we kick off the week with an all-school assembly,
and for this month, will talk about how to BE SAFE.
Each month we will focus on one of the other 8 traits.

Arrival and Dismissal Doors
Normal arrival is no earlier than 8:40.
(Breakfast is served starting at 8:35.)
Kindergarteners: Door #4 (south end)
First Grade: Door #3 (east end)
Second Grade: Door #2 (east end)
Third/Fourth Grade: Arrival at Door #9 (south end) and
Dismissal at Door #11 (west end)

Hillary's Happenings
I hope all of you had a fun and relaxing summer! I am looking forward to seeing all of the familiar faces and getting to meet our new students. Our first book fair of the year will begin on September 10th and last until September 14th. Look for a note to come home shortly after school has started. Students will also be able to browse and shop during their LMC time the week of the fair as well as shop during Rosedale’s Open House on September 11th. For our Westland residents, we will have a representative from the Westland Public Library at Open House so that you can obtain a library card for you and your child(ren). Livonia residents are also welcome to visit the table and learn about how to obtain a card at a Livonia Public Library branch.
I am still looking for old smartphones that are no longer being used. We have some virtual reality cardboard viewers that require a device to work. IF you do have one to donate, please wipe all data from it. We just need to be able to connect to the school wi-fi to utilize them.
See you soon,
Mrs. Hillary
