and qualities, and trusting in other people.

Let it snow!
Cold Weather Recess Policy
It's official--it's winter! Boys and girls will be going outside for recess
each day the temperature is above 15ºF (real feel).
If it's raining, they will stay indoors, otherwise they'll be outside playing.
Please dress your child accordingly! Send boots, snow pants, hats, and gloves.
Please remember to send shoes for your child to change into, and tennis shoes
on PE days. Children need to PLAY and they will be outside every chance
we can get. Let it snow!!

Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
Thank you to all families contributing to the before-school routines.
Kindergarten, first, and second graders are lining up outside the gym door,
third and fourth graders are waiting at the front doors, 
and traffic is flowing nicely at drop-off time.
Doors open at 8:40.
It takes cooperation and patience to make it all work!

Please refrain from picking up your student before the end of the day.
Dismissal is at 3:49, and it is important that your child is present
for the entire day, even the last 10 minutes of the day.
Occasional appointments are expected,
however daily early pick up is strongly discouraged.
If you have special circumstances,
please communicate those with the front office. 
Your cooperations is much appreciated!

Friday, Jan. 18, 6-8PM!
Bring the whole familiy!

Livonia PTSA Council Dads Chili Cook-Off
is Jan. 19, 11am-2pm
at Franklin High School
Entry fee is $10 per chili, so sign up now!
Entrants must be a "dad" (or granddad, uncle, etc.)
and must be a PTA member.
Families are invited to taste and judge,
$5 admission gets you refreshments and
unlimited chili samples.
The winning dad will take home a prize
along with a $500 grant for their child's school!

Mother/Son Zap Zone Event
The Mother/Son Zap Zone event is
Thursday, January 24, 6-8PM.
Presale tickets are available, cost is $20 a piece.
Your ticket includes pizza, pop, and unlimited play for 2 hours!
Play includes laser tag, Glo Golf, and bumper cars.
