Please plan ahead, and remember that this Wednesday, Feb. 27 is a HALF DAY of school. Dismissal is at 12:10. There is NO LUNCH served on half days, and  buses run normally. Our Daddy Daughter Dance is TONIGHT, 6:00-8:00PM!!! Pre-registration is required. Baked Good Donations can be dropped off at school, or bring them with you. Looking forward to seeing all the beautiful people for dinner and dancing! Rosedale's 2/3/4th grade students attended  the CAPA dress rehearsal for Peter Pan , this past Thursday. They were an awesome audience for an  awesome production! Thank you, CAPA! Drop and Go! If you are dropping off your child(ren) in the morning, please remember that we have too much traffic, and respectfully ask that the adult stay in the car if you are electing to Drop and Go. You may always park in a designated parking spot if you are choosing to walk up to the building. Otherwise, let's keep the traffic flow moving!!! Parent Homework Tips From: Help for Billy , Chapter 10, by Heather T. Forbes Work through problems together and sit down to do the homework with your child. Create a positive homework experience with your child, free of stress and threat. Have your child teach you. Take an interest in your child's homework, and send the message that what they're learning is important. Help your child regulate themselves. Interrupt negative feedback with breaks, snacks, play time, or deep breaths. Break long assignments into small chunks. Nothing good comes out of your child feeling overwhelmed. Work to build up your child's endurance. Give emotional space and validate your child's feelings. Use sentence starters like, "I understand that..." and follow up with, "It's ok, I'm here to help you." Reduce stress in the environment. Help to keep his/her brain calm.
