Youth Making a Difference Rosedale is proud of our third and fourth grade YMAD projects. Third grade organizes our Blessings in a Backpack program, and they also collected toiletries for our veterans. Fourth grade is organizing fundraising for the Beat Neuroblastoma Organization (childhood cancer).  Ask your child about our kick off assembly today and please look for a flyer coming home soon! PTA Can and Bottle Drive The PTA is collecting cans and bottles to celebrate Earth Day and raise funds for our Spring Fling event. Last day is May 18. "How are you today?" "I'm fine, thank you!" "Good morning!"  "Nice to see you today!" A simple greeting is all it takes to help someone's day start off right. As I stand in the lobby greeting our students, I typically receive responses from SOME of our students, but not all. This is a social skill that parents need to teach their children. Practice at home, and talk to your children about polite, appropriate responses. Make someone's day! We are talking about being present in the moment, and paying attention to the people and things around us. Talk to your children about what they are learning and how we can all be more MINDFUL! Intra -District Program Timeline Dates below may be subject to modification based upon the finalized calendar for the 2018-19 school year. April 20, 2018  -- All student transfer applications received by  4:00 p.m. April 19, 2018  will be acted upon. Approvals/denials sent to families, and all denials placed on a  waitlist . April 20, 2018  -- Beginning this date, all student transfer applications received will be placed on wait list, in the order they are received, and will be reviewed later in the summer on a space-available basis. August 24, 2018  -- Grades K-8 placements a
