March is Reading Month and Rosedale's theme is, "Let's Read S'More!" Be on the lookout for a March calendar outlining all special events, and on the back, your child's reading log. This will be the place to record your child's reading minutes for the month. If your child reads 100 minutes a week, they will be eligible for the weekly prize! Let's Read S'More! Please have a conversation with your child regarding the importance of eating their food at lunchtime. Whether you child packs a lunch, or enjoys a school lunch, it is striking to see how much food goes to waste! Talk about what foods your child likes or doesn't like, and encourage your child to bring uneaten food home, so you can see what they've eaten for the day. Promote healthy eating habits! There is NO SCHOOL this  MONDAY or TUESDAY, February 15-16, 2021,  due to mid-winter break. Please use the next 4 days to UNPLUG, limit screen time, and find relaxing activities. Bundle up, go outside for a walk or to play, find some old board games, do a puzzle, read a favorite book, bake together, or do whatever makes you happy! It's time to take a break and rejuvenate, kids and adults alike! LPS Families may participate in the Blessings in a Backpack program. Each week, your child can bring home a bag of lunch foods for the weekend. All you need to do, is reach out to  Mrs. Robison and she'll sign you up. You will find very useful information there. iReady Minutes Reminder Now that the students are done taking the math and reading Diagnostics, it's time to resume iReady instruction at home.  Every child should participate in at least 20-30 minutes a day, after school. Part of our Return to Learn Plan includes a little bit shorter day, with the intent that every student would do iReady at home each and every school day.
