More Science at Rosedale!
The Ann Arbor Hands On Museum visited our third and fourth graders on Wednesday, for an in-house field trip.
The students participated in awesome,
hands-on science and math activities.
Thank you to all the volunteers
who came in to make the day possible.
Rosedale's "3 TO BE"
BE Responsible, BE Safe, BE Respectful!
Each Monday morning, the Rosedale Rissos meet as a whole school
to celebrate and learn about the Character Traits we all strive to BE!
Each month, we focus on a single trait, learning about it
at the Monday Celebration Assembly, reading and talking about it in class,
and listening about it during daily announcements.
We also have a theme song we sing at the close of our assemblies.
Ask your child about January's trait of the month, CONFIDENCE!

Our First Banking Day-Tuesday, Jan. 30
If your child has an account with Community Financial,
our first official banking day is Tuesday!
Your child will receive an envelope on Monday, to be returned to
school on Tuesday. Our newly trained fourth graders and the
Community Financial employees will be ready to take your child's deposit!
Title I Parent Information Meeting
Rosedale is a Title I school, which means we receive extra
federal funding for support programming.
You are invited to attend an information meeting to learn more.
The meeting will take place immediately following the PTA meeting
on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 7pm.

Kindergarten Registration for 2018-19
February 1 begins Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year. If you have a future kindergartner in your home or have neighbors who have a child who will be ready for Kindergarten, please pass the word to register early. Registration information can be found at Kindergarten Registration. The school district is offering this year a special Saturday registration as well at Riley Upper Elementary School.
We look forward to welcoming parents of incoming kindergarten students on March 7, 2018 at our Kindergarten Parent Information Night and incoming kindergarten students and their parents at our Kindergarten Roundup/Orientation on May 31, 2018.
Mrs. Nadon's First Grade Blubber Experiment
First grade students have been learning about penguins
and how their blubber keeps them warm.
Today they were able to perform an experiment testing
how blubber protects them from the cold water.
