MSTEP Testing
Third and Fourth Graders all across the state are taking the
MSTEP test this month. Total testing time is 3 1/2 hours, spread
across 4 or 5 sessions. Each teacher has their own testing schedule.
It is very important that your child has regular attendance, and that
appointments do not interfere with school.
Please encourage your child to show GRIT and stick to it!!!

The last skate night of the year is
Thursday, May 10, 2018, 6-8PM,
at Riverside Arena, on Plymouth Road in Livonia!
Admission: $5.50, premium rental $3.00 extra,
Pizza and drink: $3.00.
Keep your eyes peeled for the flyer coming home!
Walking to School
Spring is finally here, which means it's that
time of year--- please consider walking to school
if you live close by.
Walking to school promotes so many good habits.
It's healthy, it gives time to talk, and promotes
responsibility.
Less traffic in the parking lot is always a bonus!
Do your child a favor, and consider walking to school!
PTA Can and Bottle Drive
The PTA is collecting cans and bottles
to raise funds for remaining spring events,
including our Spring Fling event.
Last day is May 18.

Hillary’s Happenings
It is hard to believe that May is already here and that
there are only two more weeks for book checkout. Students will check books out for the last
time this year during the LMC class the week of May 14th-18th and all books are due back by May 25th. That does not mean we are done in the LMC
though. The spring book fair will be
here June 1st - 8th.
Students will be able to browse or shop during their LMC time that
week.
The fair will also be open during
Arts, Beats, and Eats on
Friday, June 8th. I look forward to seeing all of you.
If anyone has smart phones that they are no longer using,
the LMC could use them. We have some
cardboard viewers that require a device to work. IF you do have one to donate please wipe all
data from it. We just need to be able to
connect to the school wi-fi to utilize them.

Mrs. HillaryPlayground Renovations
Starting Monday, May 7, the Rosedale Playground will be unavailable while
it is getting renovated! We are so excited that the new playground
will be available for our community to see for the night of our Spring Fling,
Thursday, May 24!
Students will have INDOOR recess for 7-10 days while the work is being done.
We would like to thank our community for supporting the 2013 bond initiative,
which has provided the funding for our new playground equipment.
We greatly appreciate your support.
Second Grade Talking Zoo
Our second graders demonstrated their skills in research, writing, and speaking
at the Talking Zoo earlier this week. They worked so hard!
