 Welcome Back!

Good afternoon Rosedale Rissos!

I am so excited to welcome our students back to school this fall. For those of you who are new, you will find Rosedale to be a warm, friendly environment. Please look forward to the publication of the Rosedale Report each week, usually on Fridays. The Rosedale Report is just one way to stay informed of the happenings at school. Visit the Rosedale website, as well as the LPS website, and feel free to give our office a call, 734-744-2500. The Rosedale Facebook page is another great resource for school news. Communication with your child's teacher is critical, so also email, DoJo, or call whenever you have comments or concerns.

School Hours

K-4 Full Day: 8:55am - 4:00pm

Half Day: 8:55am - 12:10pm

Office Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm

New Family Tours: Tuesday, August 24, 10:00-11:00am or 5:00-6:00pm

Please arrive at either 10:00am or 5:00pm for a tour of Rosedale Elementary. There is no need to preregister, however please arrive on time. Much appreciated!

September 1: Teacher and transportation assignments available on Parent Connect

September 7: First Day of school, Half Day, transportation available

September 13: Curriculum Night and Open House, 6:00-7:30pm

September 28: First PTA meeting of the year, 6:00pm in the LMC

Electronic Welcome-back Packets

This online process replaces the Emergency Pink Cards from a couple years ago. Please make sure to go online through Parent Connect and go to the 'Back to School Updates' tab to confirm each section. It is difficult to do this from a phone, so please access this portal from a PC or laptop. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.

Transportation Request Form

All families who would like bussing for their students are required to fill out a Transportation Request form for the 21-22 school year. Please fill it out even if your plan is to use this service sporadically throughout the year.

Free Meals for the 21-22 School Year

While all LPS enrolled students will receive meals at no cost this coming school year, we encourage all families to fill out the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application every year. This application is critical in determining the amount of funding our district receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs. Please take the time to fill it out today!

IT Alert: Changes to Student Email Address and Username

Student usernames will now have the year of graduation, and the word "student" will be removed from their email address.

Here is an example:

OLD USERNAME: asmith1

NEW USERNAME: asmith1-2022

OLD EMAIL ADDRESS: asmith1@student.livoniapublicschools.org

NEW EMAIL ADDRESS: asmith1-2022@livoniapublischools.org

Blessings in a Backpack

Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

Blessings in a Backpack-Livonia is an all-volunteer program designed to provide students who are in need, with enough food for three meals a day during the weekends. If you participate in this program, your child will receive a bag at the end of every week of school (Thursday or Friday), filled with non-perishable food for the weekend.  There is no cost to you for participating in this program.  No further information is required.  Your information will not be shared. If you would like to have your child participate in this program, fill out and submit the form using the link below as soon as possible. We are requesting your name and email address, so that a confirmation of registration will be emailed to you.   Delivery will begin the week of September 13th.

If your child participated in the program last year we do need a new enrollment form for this school year.

 

Currently, we are providing prepackaged bags so we  are unable to customize for allergies or religious dietary needs.  We apologize for any inconvenience.
