Rosedale ELVs Program as Strong as Ever!
Rosedale is so lucky to have a wonderfully, strong ELVs program.
ELVs are Early Literacy Volunteers, and range from
CHS students to parents to retirees.
Our program is run seamlessly by Mrs. Tracey Jakubowski and Mrs. Carol Engle.
These two volunteers work together to coordinate the ELVs with our
classroom teachers' schedules, making sure children have an opportunity
to read one-on-one with a trained adult each week.
This week, Rosedale was privileged to celebrate with one of our
long-time volunteers, Austin. He celebrated his 90th birthday!

Our Character Trait for March: Integrity
This month we will use our classroom Morning Meetings,
our Monday morning assemblies,
and other times during the day to explore
what it means to have Integrity.
So many of our Character Traits intertwine with one another.
Have conversations with your children at home. Talk about how
RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, EMPATHY, and INTEGRITY
are all related,and help us to make good decisions every day!

March is Reading Month and Rosedale will be celebrating with a bang!
The kick-off assembly was this past Tuesday, and hopefully
your child came home excited!Our staff has planned several special events to help celebrate and promote READING.

Need a Pencil?
The pencil machine has been reinstalled in the hallway outside the LMC.
If your student is in need of a pencil,
for 50¢ your child may purchase one.
All proceeds go to the Rosedale PTA.
