May Safeties of the Month
Thank you to our dedicated fourth graders and Mr. Joe for their
efforts this entire year. Our safeties are very responsible
and help around the school in so many ways.
Congratulations to our last group of Safeties of the Month!

Students of the Month: GRIT
These students have demonstrated GRIT this month, and
were specifically chosen by their teachers for
not giving up when things get tough!

Reminder:
Next week is your last chance to check
our LOST and FOUND!

Hillary's Happenings:
It was wonderful to see so many of you at Arts, Beats, and Eats last week.
I cannot believe it is already June and that the end of the school year is near.
Book check out is finished for the year, we have wrapped up the final book fair,
and we are now preparing for summer reading.
The image below, courtesy of the Toledo Public Library System,
shows the importance of continuing to read this summer.
To help your child(ren) reach the 20-minutes-per-day goal,
Rosedale has invited the Westland Public Library to join us on June 12 th
to tell us all about their summer reading program.
I have also provided other resources below to encourage summer reading.

Our public libraries always have great activities, and your child(ren)
can earn a free book from Barnes & Noble as well. Together, we can prevent the summer slide by encouraging our children to keep reading!
The Westland Library offers all kinds of summer programming.
Visit their website for information:
Highlights for the month of June:
  • Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, June 15 from 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Touch a Truck on Tuesday, June 25 from 10:00am – 11:00am

Please see the attachment to the email to see more summer fun ideas!
